Lima, February 3, 2022. Repsol yesterday presented to the authorities the plans required in Resolution No. 00013-2022-OEFA/DSEM of January 31 that establishes the closure of the maritime facilities at the La Pampilla Refinery.
The documentation submitted is as follows: the updated Contingency Plan and the Management Plan for Hydrocarbon Spills at Sea. Both documents incorporate the highest international standards.
Repsol is in permanent contact with and at the disposal of the authorities to comply with the new requirements and continue with port activities at terminals 1, 3 and 4, which were not affected by the January 15 incident.
The refinery has an inventory that complies with the requirements of Peruvian law. We reiterate that the products of La Pampilla Refinery represent 40% of the Peruvian fuels market and, therefore, Repsol will make every effort to avoid the risk of shortages of essential products for Peruvian citizens and the development of the country.
Repsol’s commitment to the cleanup work is absolute, as well as the support to the population and the attention to the fauna.
