Repsol signs final compensation agreements with more than 2,000 families

    • With this important milestone, the company advances in its commitment to compensate the 10,300 families affected by the spill, who are registered in the Single Registry of Affected Persons.

Lima, 21.09.22. Repsol continues to make progress in the signing of final compensation agreements with the people affected by the oil spill in Ventanilla, reaching agreements with more than 2,000 families.

The people with whom final agreements have been reached live in the districts of Ventanilla, Santa Rosa, Ancon, Aucallama, and Chancay, and they work in economic activities impacted by the spill.

It is important to emphasize that to this date more than 9,500 families have received compensation advances on account of these final compensations.

With this important milestone, the company advances in its commitment to compensate the 10,300 families affected by the spill, that are registered in the Single Registry of Affected Persons managed by local governments with the technical assistance of INDECI, and whose completion was communicated by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.

The company reiterates its commitment to carry out new sustainable social development projects in the affected areas.
