Based on our commitment to develop communities, our company and the Food Bank started this new project called “Fuertes como el hierro” (“As Strong as Iron”).
The aim of this program is to offer immediate attention so that a balanced diet is guaranteed for 4,000 people in 40 communal kitchens in Ventanilla and 12 in Ancón with foods such as fish, fruits, vegetables and other non-perishable foods. This program is also aimed at offering tools for autonomous and sustainable management. At the end of this program, its beneficiaries will be included in the BAP network, and they will be able to receive food assistance and strengthen their abilities on a long-term basis.
As part of this program, a training course about food/fish verification and consumption and delivery of non-perishable food and supplies for communal kitchens has been performed.
